So lets break them down to give you a better understanding:
What is important to include in an Australian Visitor Visa application?
The applicant needs to show that they are genuinely visiting Australia as a visitor and/or to visit family and friends.
The key to this question is simple: Provide as much information as you possibly can!
What does the department look for in an Australian Visitor Visa application?
If you are from a ‘high risk country’ that is, from a country that is not eligible for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority subclass 601) visa, you are then perceived as from a ‘high risk country’.
The department wants evidence to show that you have incentives to return back to your home country.
Once again, provide as much information as you possibly can!
I am from a high risk country and want to visit Australia?
If you are from one of the countries that is not eligible for an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority) subclass 601 visa then, as mentioned above, you are from a ‘high risk country’.
Simple put, The Department of Immigration & Border Protection (DIBP) needs to be satisfied that you meet the ‘genuine temporary entrant’ criterion also known as ‘GTE’.
This means, the Department needs to be satisfied that you are genuinely visiting Australia as a visitor and will return to your home country before your visa expires and not remain in Australia as an unlawful non-citizen.
To meet the ‘genuine temporary entrant criterion’ you need to show evidence that you are genuinely coming to Australia as a visitor and that you have incentives to return to your home country before your visa expires.
