Melbourne named world’s most livable city for 5th time in a row
Congratulations Melbourne!
A report released by The Economist has ranked Melbourne as the most livable city for the fifth consecutive year in a row.
The top five most livable cities were ranked as per below:
1. Melbourne, Australia
2. Vienna, Austria
3. Vancouver, Canada
4. Toronto, Canada
5. Adelaide, Australia
After an interview with Lord Mayor, Robert Doyle he stated:
Cr Doyle said the ranking was “huge for us” and that many Melburnians did not realise how well known the city was for being ranked the most liveable.
“In a very competitive tourism or education market, this becomes a very important sale point for Melbourne,”
This is an exciting achievement for us as Melburnians and another indication as to why so many people in and outside of Australia are looking to study, work and or live in Melbourne – or Australia.
