The Western Australian State Government has announced that it is no longer certifying positions for Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (subclass 187) visas and is reviewing the State Nominated Migration Program with a full overhaul of the Western Australian Skilled Migration Occupation List (WASMOL).

This comes after the Western Australian Labour Party announced that they were intending on removing Western Australia from the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme if they were to come into power.

Ethos Migration has been advised by the Migration Institute of Australia that:

New applications to certify positions for the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme are temporarily suspended.

The Migration Western Australia Website states:

The Western Australian skilled migration occupation list (WASMOL) is currently under review. While this review is underway intending migrants will not be invited to apply for Western Australian State nomination.

If you have a RSMS nomination currently being processed or are intending to receive an invitation from the Western Australian State Government for General Skilled Migration please contact us today for further guidance.
