COVID-19 Immigration Announcement – 27 March 2020
The newest restriction on incoming travellers implemented by the Australian Government is as follows:
- Any person entering Australia as of 11:59pm on Saturday 28th March 2020 will need to go into mandatory isolation in a hotel or other form of temporary accommodation close to the airport they are arriving in.
- The isolation period will be funded by the state and federal governments.
- The Australian Prime Minister Scott Morison, has stated the necessity of implementing these new restrictions to prevent any incomer from the possibility of spreading the virus within Australia.
All previously mentioned restrictions are still in place.
