2023-2024 Western Australia Skilled Migration Nomination Program Now Open
The 2023-2024 Skilled Migration State Nomination Program is now open to eligible applicants in Western Australia, with new changes from last financial year.
These changes have made it easier for skilled migrants to connect with jobs in WA.
The changes include:
- Equal invitations for both interstate and overseas candidates
- Priority on invitations for candidates with a critically deemed occupation in WA
- Reduced employment requirements for candidates invited through a WA building and construction industry sector occupation
The eligible visa applicants this program is available to are:
- The skilled nominated visa (subclass 190)
- The skilled work regional (provisional) visa (subclass 491)
Main Eligibility Requirements
- Meet Department of Home Affairs eligibility requirements for the intended visa subclass
- Nominated occupation is available on the relevant list
- Minimum English requirements are met
Stream-Specific Requirements
To be considered for an invitation for State Nomination, your occupation will need to be eligible against the specific stream requirements. The two streams are:
