For Employers
Are you a business sponsor nominating overseas workers? It is especially important that you regularly conduct VEVO visa check within your workplace. Why?

Registered organisations are strongly encouraged by the Department of Home Affairs to conduct their own VEVO checks for employees, with the visa holder’s permission.
Some visa holders have unrestricted work rights, while others may be limited to a specific number of hours.
It is important to note that not all visa holders have the right to work. If you are in the process of employing someone to work for your organisation, you should conduct an Australia visa check to confirm their work conditions.
Employers have a responsibility to ensure their employees have the legal right to work in Australia. It is a criminal offence in Australia to hire illegal workers.
