SC485 Visa Age Update – Masters (Research) & Doctoral Degree (PhD) Graduates Remaining at 50 Years of Age

The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) has today confirmed that they will be maintaining the maximum age eligibility of 50 years of age, for students that have completed a Masters by Research and/or Doctoral Degree (PhD) when applying for the Temporary Graduate (subclass 485) visa in the Post-Higher Education Work Stream (formally the ‘Post-Study Work stream) after 1 July 2024.

The age limit of 50 years of age at time of application will also remain for holders of Hong Kong and British National Overseas (BNO) passports for both streams.

All other applicants must be 35 years or under at the time of application further the announced changes as of 1 July 2024.
