The Victorian State Government has advised that the Victorian Business innovation and Investment Program (BIIP) will be opening on 10AM AEST on Monday 4 January 2021.
The Department of Home Affairs has allocated the Victorian Government a further 1,350 visa nomination places in addition to the 400 nomination places that were issued as part of the interim program.
The Victorian total number of places for the Business Innovation and investment Program is 1,750 for the 2020-2021 migration program year.
Changes to the Business Innovation & Investment Program Nomination criteria
The Victorian Government has made a commitment to strengthen Victoria’s ability to attract and select the worlds best businesspeople and international investors who will:
- Create jobs for the State of Victoria
- Boost innovation is targeted sectors (digital technologies, advanced manufacturing, health and life sciences, agri-food, new energy and emission reduction, circular economy and priority precints)
- Establish and generate innovative forward thinking businesses that utilise their qualifications in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine) fields
