Changes to Certification Requirements for Skills Assessments Submitted to VETASSES
VETASSES has advised that it will be revising the requirements of documents that are to be submitted in support of a skills assessment for General Professional Occupations.
Currently Immigration Agents and/or applicants are required to provide certified copies of photographs, identification documents, change of name documents, qualification and awards certificates, academic transcripts, evidence of previous employment, resume and/or CV’s and any other supporting documentation required however as of 1st December 2015, certification of these documents will no longer be required by VETASSESS.
Please keep in mind, that these changes are only currently applying to VETASSESS skill assessments and not other bodies and only applies to General Professional Occupations.

Engineers Australia English Proficiency Test Requirement
Engineers Australia has announced that as of 1st January 2016, they will be accepting the TOEFL iBT as an additional test to the current only option of IELTS.
Applicants who are looking to submit their application for a skills assessment from Engineers Australia will now be able to submit a IELTS result of atleast 6.0 in each of the four modules (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) OR can submit a TOEFL iBT test results with the following minimum scores:
Listening: 12
Reading: 13
Writing: 21
Speaking: 18
